Style Notes: Rompers. The Ultimate Beach Look.

Rompers are a nice addition to the spring 2011 collection of our closets. However, rompers some times give the illusion of a saggy-diaper butt. They can be done tastefully.

Rompers were brought into the fashion world in the early 1900’s as an ideal piece of clothing for children for loose movement. They were the first article of clothing that broke the traditional tight-fitting clothing that flourished the 19^th Century Victorian Era. Earlier on, rompers were known for children as dressy and playwear. But, in the 1950’s women began to enjoy the loose fitting piece as a playful suit that could be used as beachwear.

These playful play suits can be seen with the sandal-high heel to give length to the over-bearing length (of some) and with a beach hat to protect your flawless skin from the sun.

Even, if I pair a neutral sock with the IBANZ shoe in Bone would be a nice touch as well. That's the amazing thing about these type of sandals. They can look playful with the sock, or they can look dressy without the sock. Versatile shoes are the fun part about dressing up.
